Gandhinagar: The state health minister Rushikesh Patel today informed that a mock drill was held at 2,314 sites across 33 districts of the state as part of advance planning to deal with the possible situation of covid-19 pandemic.

He said that community health centers, sub-division hospitals, taluka hospitals, government hospitals, government medical colleges, PHC, CHC, wellness centers, private hospitals, and private medical colleges were included in the mock drill. A total of 403 CHCs, sub-division hospitals, and taluka hospitals; 1584 PHC and health wellness centers; and 240 private hospitals participated in it.

He added that the PSA (oxygen generation plants) plants of 237 metric ton capacity are functional in the state. The state has 24 LMO oxygen tanks with a capacity of 164 metric tons. The State has 10 oxygen tanks of a capacity of 15 metric tons available. Thus, a total of 34 oxygen tanks of a total 314 metric ton capacity are functional in the state.
